Circle Express sees challenges ahead

12 October 2007

Circle Express chief executive Chris Coffey says challenges for both his firm and the industry are ahead, most notably from fuel prices and environmental concerns. Coffey, pictured at the firm's 25th anniversary celebration, says more of his customers are starting to ask about carbon footprints. He says: "It's obviously the way things are going. We all have to show responsibility to giving it some thought."

Fuel increases could also prove contentious, particularly in the airfreight  carrier industry as "we deal with airfreight agents, and their clients abroad aren't suffering". Coffey says Circle is building more strategic partnerships outside of its standard airfreight carrier line of business. "More and more people are coming to us to be their total logistics solution," he says.
