Browns Distribution has launched a new service that allows customers to track and trace deliveries online in real time. The Stoke-on-Trent haulier's IT system allows customers to track consignments live on Microsoft Virtual Earth. A map is continuously updated so customers can track the delivery progress of their job.
The technology also provides details of scheduled actions, estimated time of arrival on delivery points, and completed status, and the firm says this will soon be followed
by a live signature capture option.
David Brown Jr, director at Browns Distribution, says the service will save customers time, money and effort.He adds: "We are offering an unparalleled service, the new tracking facility enables customers to view their own unique job. It is already generating huge interest and we are confident that this will continue in the weeks ahead."
