A theft from a truck in Worcester at the end of October was the fourth in two months on the same road, say West Mercia Police.
The latest crime on Wainwright Road, which saw £100,000 worth of perfume taken, followed a break-in to a truck at the Plumb Centre, the removal of a parked trailer, and the slashing of a curtainsider and the theft of its load.
But suggestions by Commercial Motor readers that there had been 20 thefts in the road over the eight-week period were rejected by the police. The spokesman says: "Our records only show the four offences, so 20 seems a wild exaggeration."
Wainwright Road is in an industrial part of Worcester.
