Dundee haulier PS Ridgway says adopting Mercedes-Benz's Electronic Inspection System (EIS) has resulted in savings in repetitive administration. "It also means improved operating efficiency and gives us the confidence of knowing the inspection status of all our vehicles immediately the work has been completed," says PS Ridgway development director Mark Ridgway (pictured).
EIS allows all important documentation relating to maintenance and inspection schedules for trucks and vans over 3.5
tonnes to be recorded via a handheld PDA and uploaded to a secure, central core. Operators are able to access and print the data at any time.
