Robbie Burns is Nightfreight's new executive chairman. The role combines that of chief executive and chairman. Tim Redfurn, Nightfreight's previous chairman has stepped down and former CEO John Aspin, who covered the role after the sudden departure of Steve Allen in July, has returned to his post as non-executive director.
Nightfreight says Redfurn and the board felt "a change was needed". Burns spearheaded the Burns Inquiry into freight taxes and foreign competiton and was the founder
CEO of Exel (Logistics).
