£4m Unilever deal for Atchison Topeka

21 November 2007

Food ingredients distributor Atchison Topeka has secured a £4m contract renewal with Unilever's ice cream division. The operation, which runs 24 hours a day, six days a week, sees the firm collecting bulk liquid ingredients from UK and European manufacturers with its 50-strong fleet of food grade tankers. More than 2,000 just-in-time deliveries will be made annually to Unilever's Gloucestershire production facility.

Atchison Topeka says the deal confirms its success as a specialist in food  ingredients distribution, coupled with the recent opening of a state-of-the-art site in Droitwich, Worcestershire.
