Suckling Transport will take delivery of eight new DAF CF85 tractors in March, which will be the first Euro 5 trucks on its 80-strong fleet. "We couldn't see any reason not to go straight to Euro 5," says managing director Peter Larner. The trucks are all FTPs, which Larner says are the company's preferred choice because of their high payload potential.
However, it also runs a number of DAF CF FTGs and five MAN TGAs.The Essex-based company has opted for Cobo tankers, this being the first time it has purchased from the Spanish trailer builder. They will work on a variety of contracts, including meeting the increased business generated by Shell.
