Renault has launched a wave of new models along with extended warranties on both its Trafic and Master ranges. First up is the Kangoo Extra, available with either a 1.6 petrol 75hp engine for £8,550 or a 1.5dCi 70hp engine for £10,600. It comes with air-con, body-coloured bumpers and door mirrors as well as an uprated CD player. Payload is 625kg.
Next is the stylish Trafic Sport, which gets 16in 'Ixtar' alloy wheels, metallic paint, air-con, electric front windows, electrically heated door mirrors, driver's armrest, front fog lights and 'Elba' upholstery. It is available as a panel van or crew-van, and prices start at £15,700 for the SL2700 dCi 115. The Trafic also gets a new 2.5dCi 150hp engine option to replace the previous 140hp variant, while the Quickshift 6 automated manual transmission can be specced on both the new 2.5-litre and 2.0-litre dCi 115hp units. Renault claims the Quickshift can improve fuel consumption by up to 5%.
Designed for transporting perishable goods, the new Trafic refrigerated van range was developed in partnership with specialist insulation company Lamberet and comes with a designated Class A rating (0deg to 12degC), while payload is up to 973kg and load volume 3.4m3. The 870W refrigeration unit is independently powered and can be charged both on the road and while stationary. Prices start at £19,450 for the SL27 dCi 90.
And finally, for a bit more peace of mind, all Trafic and Master ranges now come with a three-year/100,000-mile warranty along with three years' free AA cover.
