Cleveland-based road transport group Devereux Developments saw pre-tax profit more than treble in the year ending 31 March 2007. Profit rose to £289,803, according to figures issued last week, against £85,455 in the previous year. Turnover was not revealed in the abbreviated accounts, but the number of employees rose from 172 to 182 and the wage bill went up from £4.1m to £4.6m.
