Unipart Logistics has won a new multi-million pound contract with a high street furniture chain. Under the £5m deal, the company will run Habitat's existing 165,000ft2 facility at Wallingford, Oxfordshire, and provide warehousing and distribution for all Habitat's 38 UK stores. About 95 team members at Habitat Wallingford will also transfer to Unipart.
Ian Smith, managing director of Unipart Consumer Logistics, says: "This contract win pays testament to our growing expertise in retail logistics as we make consistently strong inroads into the sector." Unipart Logistics' customers include Halfords, Vodafone, BSkyB, Airbus and Jaguar.
