CV Show debuts

25 February 2008

Scania will debut new cabs at the CV Show: a Highline version of the P-cab the G-series and new features for the R-series. Together they increase its portfolio by 50%. The G-series cab (launched at last year's RAI show) has an enclosed roof shelf, while below the bed is a flat refrigerator that can be pulled out on a drawer. The back of the driver's seat can be folded down to serve as a bedside table.

UK sales director Roger McCarthy says: "The new P-series Highline will appeal to operators  in the distribution and medium-duty sector. Customers have responded very favourably [to the G-series], particularly in the construction and long-haul markets."

CV Show visitors will also be able to see the latest addition to the Complete Vehicle range: a curtainsider (pictured). Initially available as a four-wheeler, it will be offered in a six-wheel format later. A selection of Euro 4/5 engines can be specified. Options include a Ratcliff Tukaway tail lift. Scania is considering further additions to the Complete Vehicle range: an 8x4 tipper a box and curtainsider at 26 tonnes and a petroleum tanker.
