LEZ test can be done at 'approved' fitters

Transport for London has announced a new 'one stop shop', where operators can have their abatement equipment for the London Low Emission Zone fitted and tested at the same time.

Nick Fairholme, head of the LEZ, says: "This new service gives operators the opportunity to get their pollution abatement equipment fitted and tested by the authorised examiner on site. It will reduce the amount of time that a vehicle needs to be taken off the road and provides a 'one stop shop' for operators keen to get their vehicles back in service as soon as possible." The majority of the approves suppliers of the equipment listed on the TfL website have fitters who can can carry out smoke tests on Vosa's behalf.
