Michelin has launched the Agilis, a new range of van tyres with claimed fuel-saving benefits. According to Michelin, they have the potential to reduce fuel consumption by 0.2 litres per 100km compared with the previous generation of tyre. This saving, it says, equates to the cost of one free tyre every 85,000km. Michelin says tyre life has been improved too - by 20% compared with the van tyre it replaces. This is the equivalent of an additional six months of driving.
