Pall-Ex is opening a hub near Carlisle to reduce the trunking journeys its members have to do in the north of England and improve the structure it offers to Scottish members. The new hub will be non-drive-through in keeping with Pall-Ex's high-priority environmental policy, forklift trucks will operate on gas rather than diesel. The first pallet is scheduled to be transhipped through the hub at the end of April.
