Stiller Group has acquired the bulk powder transport division of James Durrans & Sons. Under the deal, Stiller Tankers will take over James Durrans (Transport) based in Barnsley, South Yorks. It will continue to be managed on a day-to-day basis by its existing team and carry out work for current clients.
Ian Marshall, Stiller Group managing director, says: "The Durrans portfolio is a perfect fit with our current business profile." The purchase will boost the Stiller fleet by 18 tractor
units and 21 tank trailers. A Stiller Group spokesman adds that Stiller Tankers is still actively looking for potential acquisitions.
