Temperature-controlled haulage specialist Langdons has posted an increase in pre-tax profit for the 12 months to December 2007 of £2m, up from £1.1m in 2006. Turnover increased to £50.4m last year compared with £46.4m the previous year, while operating profit remained static at £1.7m.
The firm's financial statement says: "The company was in a satisfactory position at the year end, with a stable customer base, workforce and cash flow." Langdons sold its freehold site in Taunton, Somerset in 2007 and says it used the proceeds to reduce its bank borrowings.
