Fuel price protestors at Stanlow refinery

02 May 2008

The BBC is reporting that around 100 hauliers and farmers staged a peaceful blockade at Stanlow oil refinery last night.

The protestors prevented around 50 trucks from entering the plant, but moved out of the road following the attendance of the police.

Cheshire Police say that around 40 to 50 protestors remained at the plant until  the early hours of Friday morning. The police added that the protest was peaceful and no arrests had been made.
