Administrators for JDR Distribution say the firm collapsed having accrued debts of "more than £2m" owed to "just over 100 creditors". As reported by MT last week, JDR entered administration ten months after it rebranded as 24-hour delivery service moved4u.
The Tamworth firm employed 35 people and had a turnover of £5.2m. Nick Edwards, director at insolvency practitioner Cooper Parry, says: "There is no chance of the company being sold as a going concern." A creditors' meeting is due to be held in the next four to five weeks.
