Peter Bennie has taken delivery of five Binotto- equipped Scania 8x4s. The tippers will be used to service the company's six quarries and other sites in and around Northampton. They are fitted with Binotto's MFC 167 with a separate ram and tank, saving more than 40kg over the combined ram and tank alternative.
The bodies are built by PPG from an alloy some 10% harder than normal. These latest HDR (heavy duty round) models combine shallow sides with a curved floor to improve ease of tipping, especially with wet or sticky loads.
