Andy Forrest

19 May 2008

The industry has lost one of its most liked and respected people. Andy Forrest has sadly died aged just 47 after a brave fight against cancer. Andy joined Leeds-based fledgling firm Macfarlane Transport as a driver in 1979, just one year after brothers Ian and Gordon Macfarlane founded the company.

After several years driving, Andy ran the traffic office and presided over the operation of more than 140 vehicles, eventually making the position of operations director. A hugely likeable man  with almost unrivalled industry experience Andy leaves behind his widow Debbie and children Natalie, Daniel and Zoe.
