Iveco is optimistic that its new Eurocargo will outsell the Daf LF, and boost its share of the UK's 7.5-tonne market from 24% to 30%.
UK buyers will get the ZF Eurotronic two-pedal transmission as standard, but operators who prefer manual gearboxes will be able to opt for the new six- or nine-speed ZF units at no extra cost.
The newcomer, which is launched in the UK in September, is likely to be at least 5% more expensive than the model it replaces.
