Airfreight specialist Circle Express has won a three-year contract worth £12m with Panalpina World Transport. Circle will handle Panalpina's UK mainland collection and delivery service, Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham airline transfer operations, customer-specific services, dedicated specials and warehouse handling in Birmingham.
Circle was awarded the contract on the basis of its service levels, strategy and IT development. Panalpina head of operations David Kenton says: "This
is a major decision for Panalpina, and Circle Express is the best partner for our future development." The contribution from the contract will take Circle's turnover close to £30m in the current year.
