Iveco has launched a new mini-CPC course for its service staff to instill greater under-standing among its dealer network of the regulatory demands faced by customers. Iveco believes that the initiative, jointly developed with the FTA, will give it an edge in the battle for sales.
Bob Lowden, Iveco's customer service director, says that with VOSA's increased use of its Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) system to inform targeted enforcement, issues such as MoT pass rates have become ever more important for truck operators. "We decided that we needed to raise the bar in terms of awareness of the issues that operators are facing," Lowden adds.
Each of Iveco's 104 service points has to send a representative on one of the courses, but Lowden says that many are sending more than one delegate. At the end of the course there is an exam, with a certificate for those who pass it dealers will also become FTA members.
