Dutch operator De Rooy has been granted a 40 vehicle and 40 trailer O-licence, with the condition that they are serviced in the North West. North Western Traffic Commissioner Beverley Bell had reserved her decision at an earlier hearing, citing concerns about De Rooy's plans to maintain its trucks in Holland.
But after a public inquiry last week, Bell decided to grant the licence once De Rooy had agreed to switch maintenance to the UK, where it could be monitored by Vosa.
