As Llandrindod Wells-based bulk tipper operator A E Gough & Sons has recently passed its 81st anniversary and senior partner Derek Gough has celebrated his 80th birthday, the choice of a suitable new tractor was obvious.
Hence the deviation from the firm's familiar blue livery as it has taken one of the UK's 80 Volvo FH13 520 80th Anniversary specials. The Euro-5 tractor's standard specification includes
I-Shift, lane departure warning and the latest ACC2 adaptive cruise control.
Meanwhile, Derek, son of founder Albert Gough, marked his personal milestone by renewing his LGV licence, so that he can carry on doing some of the more local driving jobs while his sons, Michael and Simon, run the office.
