Food logistics firm Boughey Distribution aims to boost mileage on its trailer tyres by up to 50% after switching its fleet to Michelin products.
The company will use Michelin's new X One MaxiTrailer tyres on the 130 Schmitz and Montracon trailers being delivered to its fleet. The tyres, which will feature Michelin's Infinicoil architecture, will help improve wear and robustness, says the manufacturer.
Boughey Distribution group fleet engineer Paul Brimelow says: "Since the first
trailers entered operation, we have had some positive feedback from the drivers in terms of handling and on-the-road performance.
"Tyre reliability has also been very good," he adds.
