Investment in Euro 5 trucks has helped Hampshire firm Boarhunt win Environmental Haulier of the Year award from customer NYK Group Europe. The most recent additions to its green fleet are two Mercedes-Benz Actros 2546 tractor units with Euro 5 engines. It has another five similar vehicles on order for its container haulage operation.
Boarhunt operates a haulage operation as well as a recovery and garage business. The 43-truck haulage fleet has a £13.5m turnover. Managing director Ian Mulholland
says: "Historically, the rescue and recovery operation has formed the backbone of the business, but we've been able to kick-start the haulage side purely through organic growth."
