Herefordshire-based ABE (Ledbury)'s managing director Andy Boyle has been appointed as chairman of the Road Haulage Association (RHA). He replaces Willie Oliver.
Boyle says: "Now more than ever the RHA is heard at government level on a daily basis. Our task is to translate this into action that benefits our industry.
"We must not lose sight that a large number of individual hauliers
are experiencing the worst of times."
He adds that the RHA is fighting a constant battle on their behalf and he in proud to be leading a team that is committed to furthering the interests of the UK haulage industry.
Jonathan Bulmer, managing director at Bulmer Logistics, has been appointed senior vice-chairman Tony Jones, managing director at Courtenham Warehousing and Distribution, becomes junior vice-chairman.
