Wincanton has bought Product Support Limited, (PSL) - a transport firm that specialises in the defence, aerospace, oil and gas, and technology industries - for £27m. Gordon Scott, managing director of the industrial business unit at Wincanton, says PSL provides a "good cultural fit".
PSL, which has 20 sites across the UK, employs more than 400 people.
Meanwhile, Wincanton says there is no further news on its potential bid for TDG. The two contenders for TDG - Laxey Partners and Wincanton
- have been given a closing date of 20 June to make an offer for the company.
