The South London Freight Quality Partnership (SLFQP) is still considering the idea of setting up a freight consolidation centre in south London.
The group - which includes operators, retailers, representatives from Transport for London, the FTA and London boroughs - is currently discussing an action plan.
Alan Lewis, director at consultancy Transport and Travel Research, says: "The real challenge is to convince south London's operators, retailers and developers that a move to consolidation centres, such as those servicing Bristol and Heathrow, could pay real dividends in the longer term."
