Volvo launches new interiors for FH and FM ranges

19 June 2008

Volvo has launched an improved interior for the FH and FM ranges, a new 11-litre engine for the FM tractor, and unveiled a full range of new safety features. The interior changes include an AdBlue gauge, more storage space, and new gear controls for I-Shift and Powertronic.

The 11-litre engine (D11) in the FM is about 140kg lighter than the 13-litre D13 variant and is available as either a 4x2 or a 6x2 pusher axle tractor. Meeting Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards, it comes in two versions:  390hp with 1,880Nm of torque and 430hp with 2,100Nm.

New safety features include Driver Alert Support, Lane Changing Support, cornering lights, rain-sensitive wipers and ESP on 6x2 rigid trucks with trailers. Volvo is also ready to launch Driver CPC training courses, covering safety and efficient driving.
