Lloyd Fraser Holdings has recorded a drop in profit and turnover, but says its overall results are pleasing "given current economic conditions". Operating profit for the year to August 2007 dipped to £1.4m from £1.9m in the previous 12-month period, while pre-tax profit fell to £1.7m from £2.1m the previous year.
Turnover dropped to £81.1m from £82.3m. At Lloyd Fraser Logistics, pre-tax profit for the year to August 2007 rose to £119,014 in 2007 from £73,276 in 2006, while turnover increased to £3.1m from £3m.
A spokesman for Lloyd Fraser says: "The group remains stable and is well placed for the future. There is currently a healthy pipeline within business development and several strong prospects for new business wins." With regard to acquisitions, Lloyd Fraser says it continues to monitor the marketplace and is constantly assessing its offering within the 3PL sector.
