Operators are being offered free performance insight into their business with the freight On Line Benchmarking (OLB) pilot finally going live. Since 4 August, the OLB pilot programme, which is funded by the Department for Transport (DfT), has been active following a series of trial workshops.
The scheme, set to run until March 2009, allows an operator to enter information such as vehicle, trailer type and fuel type. This will be used to generate reports detailing, for example, fuel consumption in litres and damaged deliveries.
The site is primarily targeted at those in aggregate sectors and with vehicles over 7.5 tonnes.
If you are interested in taking part in the programme, visit the Freight Best Practice website and click on 'Benchmarking'.
