Air freight specialist Servisair has ordered a batch of new Volvos with EGR engines to avoid the "headache" of AdBlue. The company - one of the world's biggest aviation ground services operators - has acquired five Volvo 4x2 FH 440 Euro 4 Globetrotters from dealer Thomas Hardie Commercials.
A further 15 are to follow in September, and all the vehicles are fitted with the Cybit fleetstar tracking system. The company also operates four DAF XF95s. Mark Brehon, transport manager at Servisair Trucking in Manchester, says: "Volvo was chosen for its competitive price, fuel economy and reliability, plus no AdBlue, which has been a headache.
"Drivers have been very positive too." Brehon adds that Servisair made the order in response to a period of "strong natural growth" at the company.
