Penny Hydraulics has developed a 1,200kg-capacity vehicle-mounted crane for vehicles plated at 3.5 tonnes and above. The Swing Lift Foldaway 1200 is fully hydraulic and is operated with a wander lead or handheld radio.
The crane's operator safety features ensure that the maximum 1,200kg lifting capacity is limited to a 1.5m radius, falling to 250kg at the full 4m extension; a patented overload device is fitted to prevent operators trying to over-reach and risk stability problems.
The crane is suitable for a wide range of applications ranging from construction to builders merchants.
According to Penny, demand for vehicle-mounted cranes is increasing following the implementation of the manual handling regulations and the recommendation that loads lifted by a single person should not exceed 25kg.
