Safe Europe has introduced a tyre pressure monitoring system - Monityre - that enables operators to accurately monitor tyre pressures within a fleet. By regularly monitoring tyres Safe Europe estimates a fleet of 100 trailers could save up to 0.15mpg, or around £100,000 per annum in annual fuel costs. The system consists of pressure and temperature sensors, an in-cab DIN display unit, and, on artics, a trailer-mounted smart booster and programming tool.
