Joint MT Haulier of the Year Matthew Kibble Transport (MKT) has bought event specialist JAT. "It's a nice bolt-on acquisition and should provide decent returns," says owner Matthew Kibble. "It should add another £1m of turnover."
JAT specialises in moving equipment and instruments for bands and providing logistics for festival organisers, both in the UK and abroad. "We'd pulled out of overseas work a few years ago," notes Kibble, "but this takes us back into international."
While
only adding four trucks and four drivers to Kibble's fleet (taking it to 22 vehicles), JAT has worked for major acts current clients on tour include McFly and Girls Aloud. Kibble plans to rebrand JAT's vehicles as MKT.
