Northampton-based Macis is calling for haulage firms that would like to take part in a development programme for its driver shift software system. The company is looking for transport operators with a fleet of at least 50 vehicles that would like to trial its SMS software and use it free of charge, for a minimum three-year period.
The package can check whether a driver is legal to start a shift and provides information on driving hours, rest periods, working time, periods of availability, as well as financial data on costs, income and gross margins. It gives instant access to historical information on driver activity and produces warnings if the proposed shift is in breach of drivers' hours rules.
The software will be unveiled at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Hinckley, Leicestershire, on September 17. For more details, contact Issy Watkins on 01604 882882 or email.
