Logistics giant TDG has started a temperature-controlled delivery service for the North-West of England, based at its Trafford Park, Manchester site.
Paul Spellacy, TDG's temperature-controlled services commercial manager, says: "We have listened to customers and decided to introduce a transportation element into our highly successful warehousing operation. As ever, food manufacturers have confidence that we will work with them to make sure their chilled and frozen goods are stored and transported in such a way that they arrive in tip-top condition."
In June, TDG introduced a temperature-controlled courier service operating out of its Luton depot. The company operates a 7.5-tonne van in the M25 area, available to pick up part or last-minute orders.
