Ainscough boosts tractor fleet

18 September 2008

Ainscough Crane Hire has added fourteen new MAN TGX 33.480 6x4s to its fleet of tractors. The heavy haulage firm has acquired the trucks on seven-year contract-hire agreements, with repair and maintenance packages, all financed through MAN Financial Services.

The vehicles  come with onboard telematics, which can provide vehicle and driver reports, as well as online document filing. They will support the crane fleet and be used to move mobile crane ballast. Steve Cooke, engineering director at Ainscough, says the German manufacturer's EGR engines – which do not require AdBlue – were a key factor in the decision.

He adds: "The quality of MAN's products is excellent, and they're supported today by a superb national network of high calibre workshop facilities. We've seen the investment MAN has made in the network over recent years and that investment is now bearing fruit."
