Seafield Logistics has produced a set of short manuals to help simplify its business procedures, to aid in its quest towards attaining quality certification ISO9001.
All company processes are explained by the use of flow charts, which show clear responsibilities, and are complemented by easily understandable instructions. Supply chain specialist Seafield, based in Worksop, Notts, worked with Quality Improvements UK to help create the system.
Mark Strong, Seafield managing director, says: "What we have now is a real, live system that will benefit our customers and help us deliver our business goals."
Nigel Albans, managing director at Quality Improvements UK, adds: "User-friendliness is one of the key elements to ensure the success of any quality system and this is very much at the forefront of the development of the Seafield business management system."
