Logistics giant Wincanton is confident about winning new business despite the current tough trading conditions. In a statement to the London Stock Exchange, Wincanton says new business in the UK and Ireland is on the rise as customers consider outsourcing and other initiatives to reduce their costs and improve efficiency.
The company adds that its established UK and Ireland business is also growing. On the European side, Wincanton says
business in France is strong and its German division is buoyed by a plan to develop its road operation.
