Geoff Hoon has been appointed as transport secretary in a cabinet reshuffle sparked by previous incumbent Ruth Kelly's resignation, according to the BBC. Most recently, Hoon has been chief whip.
The Government is expected to reveal full details of the reshuffle later today.
