An Enfield MP is flying the flag for young people entering the CV field by presenting an apprenticeship certificate to newly qualified lorry mechanic. Joan Ryan MP, for Enfield North, is set to visit North-East London-based Hunter Vehicles on 10 October and congratulate 18-year-old Robert Skipp on gaining his NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Ryan says: "Mechanics like
Robert literally keep the wheels of industry and commerce moving and I would like to commend him." The apprenticeship scheme is run by the North London Garages Training Centre on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council.
