City Link has marked its UK expansion programme with a new £650,000 Midlands depot – and it has three more scheduled to open in the coming weeks.
On 18 October, the parcel distribution group opened its site at the Gallagher Business Park, north Coventry. It will handle 64,000 items per week and replace the Phoenix Way depot, which is a quarter of its size.
In line with the firm's plan to extend its nationwide network,
it is hoped that customer care will be improved by an on-site customer care centre for City Link's major accounts.
The other new depots are set to open in Norwich, Stoke and Worcester by the end of October once the account managers have finalised the details.
