Tuesday 28 October 2008 12:00

Logistics firm TDG has made changes to its senior management team following the takeover by LIT, the company created by Laxey Partners and known as 'Bidco'.

Chief executive David Garman is leaving the company as well as Jeffrey Hume, chief financial officer of the group. Mike Branigan becomes chief executive of TDG Contract Logistics while Graeme Rooney takes over as chief executive of TDG Chemicals. Geoff Thomas is the new chief financial officer of TDG.

Alex Paiusco, chief executive of LIT, says: "The current economic climate poses both challenges and opportunities, and TDG's ability to provide services and expertise that help customers to achieve their targets will continue to be very much in demand.

"We are convinced that TDG, under the leadership of Mike and Graeme, will be able to offer both stability to customers and growth in the business.

"Our vision at LIT is to enable TDG to become Europe's most successful provider of specialised logistics services with global capabilities."
