A Ford Transit fitted with the Connaught Hybrid+ mild hybrid system has returned a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 of 24.7% in independent testing at Millbrook. This reduction was achieved on the T2 City Drive Cycle lesser savings were achieved in the Urban (18%), Road (11.5%) and Combined (15%) cycles.
The Hybrid+ system, comprising an under-bonnet belt-driven motor/generator feeding a bank of super-capacitors,
