Vandals have been on the rampage on the A14 making away with thousands of new trainers and damaging lorries parked in lay-bys.
On 29 and 30 October, three HGVs fell victim to criminal damage. Between 11.15pm and 8.15am, thieves broke into a lorry trailer parked on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at Kentford, stealing more than 2,800 pairs of New Balance trainers.
On the A1088 at Elmswell between 9.30pm and 6.30am, a lorry had its seal cut away. Suffolk Police believe this may be related to the other criminal incident on the A14 at Rougham between 11.30pm and 6.30am, where the truck lock was cut off.
The police are calling for anyone who may have been offered the trainers to contact them with information on 0800 555111.
