Vosa consults on revising HGV testing fees

07 November 2008

Vosa has published a consultation on changing the fee structure for lorry testing in an attempt to make life easier for the industry.

Vosa hopes to halve the supplement charged for testing away from Vosa sites, merging some O-licence fees with testing costs, and revising fees to reflect the "increased cost of providing services".

Alastair Peoples, deputy chief executive of Vosa, says: "The improved way of delivering testing will,  over time, allow operators to save hundreds of pounds of lost earnings per vehicle each year."

Stakeholders are invited to express their views on the consultation, which will run until 29 January 2009. More information can be found on the Department for Transport website.
