Thieves slash curtain and steal up to 30 TVs

11 November 2008

Police are on the hunt for two thieves who made away with up to five pallets of televisions in Shropshire, stopping only when the Slovakian lorry driver was alerted by their banging. Between 1am and 4.30am yesterday (Monday), two masked men slashed the curtains on a lorry parked outside an electrical firm in Stafford Park, Telford and stole up to 30 Samsung LCD televisions.

West  Mercia Police believe the two men, both thought to be 6ft tall, made several trips to take the goods. The HGV driver then woke up and spotted the thieves, who ran away. Police are appealing to other delivery drivers who may have witnessed the theft. Anyone with information is asked to contact Malinsgate Police Station on 0300 3333 000.
